Dr. Brooksher Achieves Accreditation Status in AACD

Dr. Steven H. Brooksher of Baton Rouge has been awarded accreditation in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, joining 286 dental professionals in the world who have earned this designation.
To achieve this status, a dentist must demostrate in-depth knowledge of the principles of cosmetic dentistry by completing a three-part process consisting of a written examination, submission of clinical cases for evaluation, and an oral examination. In addition, attendance at a specified series of workshops is required.
The AACD is a worldwide organization made up of over 8,000 members in 70 countries. Its mission is to advance the art and science of cosmetic dentistry and to encourage the highest standards of ethical conduct and responsible patient care.
Dr. Brooksher was recognized for his honor at the AACD's 24th annual scientific session, held in New Orleans May 2008.

BROOKSHER WINS AACD AWARDS

Dr. Steven Brooksher has won two awards in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's Seventh Annual Smile Gallery competition, held in Boston, Massachusettes. First, he won the award for Indirect Anterior or Posterior Esthetics, one of the six categories of the competition based upon technical skill in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Brooksher also won the AACD's prestigious People's Choice Award, given to particularly impressive cases in the field of cosmetic dentistry.
Founded in 1984, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry is the largest international dental organization dedicated specifically to the art and science of cosmetic dentistry.
